According
to
the
Ukrainian
Wind
Energy
Association
(UWEA),
the
total
installed
wind
power
capacity
at
the
end
of
2017
is
594
MW.
It
should
be
noted
that
at
the
end
of
2009
the
total
installed
capacity
of
wind
power
was
6.78
times
less
than
now.
The
launch
of
large
industrial-commercial
wind
farms
began
in
2011.
In
2018,
wind
power
facilities
of
68.1
MW
were
connected
to
the
United
Energy
System
(UES)
of
Ukraine.
If
we
compare
by
regions,
then
the
leader
in
the
development
of
wind
energy
is
Zaporizhzhya
region
(power
-
200
MW).
Analyzing
all
this,
we
can
conclude
that
Ukraine
pays
great
attention
to
the
development
of
wind
energy
and
plans
to
increase
its
capacity
in
the
future.
In
2017,
series
of
large
industrial
wind
farms
were
launched,
in
particular,
„Novotroitskaya“,
„Old
Sambir-2“
and
„Shevchenkovo-1“.
In
September
2017,
the
first
stage
of
the
Novotroitsk
WTP
with
capacity
of
43.8
MW
was
commissioned
in
the
Kherson
region.
The
wind
farm
consists
of
12
wind
turbines
with
a
unit
capacity
of
3.65
MW.
The
plans
-
its
expansion
tototal
capacity
of
69
MW.
The
wind
farm
„Old
Sambir-2“
in
Lviv
was
launched
in
October
2018.
The
total
capacity
of
the
stationis
20.7
MW.
The
wind
farm
consists
of
six
wind
turbines
with
unit
capacity
of
3.45
MW.
Annual
electricity
production
is
expected
to
reach
56
million
kW*h.
The
WTP
(Wind
turbinen
Park)
was
built
with
funds
from
the
European
Bank
for
Reconstruction
and
Development
(EBRD).
WTP
„Shevchenkovo-1“
is
located
in
Ivano-Frankivsk
region.
It
should
be
noted
that
this
station
was
the
first
wind
farm
in
the
Ivano-Frankivsk
region.
According
to
the
UWEA
data,
by
2020,
a
steady
growth
in
the
capacity
of
wind
power
plants
WTP
(Wind
turbinen
Park)
at
the
level
of
200
MW
per
year
is
expected.
New
wind
power
plants
(wind
turbines)
will
be
built
primarily
in
Zaporizhia,
Kherson,
Mykolayiv,
Odessa,
Lviv
and
Ivano-Frankivsk
regions.
Among
the
WTP
under
construction,
„Primorsk
VES-1“
and
„Primorsk
VES-2“
in
the
Zaporozhye
region
deserve
special
mention.
The
installed
capacity
of
each
of
them
is
100
MW.
In
the
Kherson
region
build
Overyanovskaya
wind
power
plant
WTP
(Wind
turbinen
Park),
which
will
have
a
capacity
of
69
MW
and
will
consist
of
20
wind
turbines
with
a
unit
capacity
of
3.45
MW.
It
should
also
be
noted
the
construction
of
wind
power
plants
„Ovid
Wind“
in
the
Odessa
region. The design capacity of this station is 32.4 MW.
It
is
worth
noting
that
the
national
plan
for
the
development
of
the
United
Energy
System
(UES)
of
Ukraine
for
2016-2025
provides
for
investment
in
energy
of
about
279.8
billion
UAH
for
this
period.
This
is
reported
in
the
presentation
of
the
draft
UES
development
plan,
drawn
up
at
the
NEC
„Ukrenergo“.
In
accordance
with
the
plan,
158.5
billion
UAH
(56.6%)
will
be
directed
to
the
development
of
renewable
energy
sources,
39.8
billion
UAH
(14.2%)
-
to
nuclear
power
plants,
33.9
billion
UAH
(12.1%)
-
for
thermal
energy,
27.5
billion
UAH
(9.8%)
-
on the development of backbone electrical networks.
